The Traffic Division is responsible for maintaining records and
processing all traffic civil infractions, and parking violations.
Pleading Not Responsible requires you to call the 43rd District
Court to set up a hearing. If you would like to set a court date for your
civil infraction violation, please contact the court via phone (248-547-8700)
within 10 days from the date of issue. See Types of Traffic Hearings below
for a description of the hearings.
All traffic fines may be paid at the court in the form of cash, check
(no out-of-state checks), or money orders. Checks or money orders are
to be made payable to 43rd District Court.
Credit card payments are to be directed to Government Payment Services
at 1-888-604-7888 using pay location 1028. You may also use GPS to pay
your ticket online. Please have the correct amount and ticket information
available. Tickets are payable within 10 days from the date of issue.
The ticket must be included with the proper payment.
Failure to submit payment for a ticket on or before the due date or hearing
will result in a default judgment with a possible suspension of your driving
privileges and late penalties for civil infractions, or a bench warrant
for misdemeanor traffic offenses. Upon a suspension of your driving privileges,
a reinstatement fee is required.
For fines not listed, please contact the Court directly via email.
